August Stampers with an Attitude Chalk it Up! Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampers with an Attitude Blog Hop.  All Stampers with an Attitude are part of Kimberly Moss’s team.  If you came from Sheila Bennet’s blog you are at the right place.  Don't you love her card?  I love how she used a different color with this packet.  I'm going to have to use that idea.

Let's get hopping!  I've been at my sister's for a few days, aka Studio North.  I have played and played and played with the Chalk it Up! paper line.  I love, love, love this paper.  I am also a high school librarian and am always looking for morale boosters.  If you have a teacher in your life, be it your child's teacher, your colleagues, adopt a school, friends, family, whatever, then Chalk it Up! is for you!

For this hop I am highlighting a very inexpensive (particularly with back to school prices) gift any teacher, librarian, counselor, or administrator would love.

These are very easy to make.  Cover composition book with paper, Picture My Life cards, combination of both, add embelllishments, and ribbon.  Cover with Liquid Glass if desired.  (These are so easy I covered one while cleaning up and packing up to come home!  All I need to do is add embellishments to #6.)

I plan to add an inside cover and pocket to these before sharing with our new teachers.  Great morale booster!

Next up?  Hop on over to Fawn Carriker's blog and see what she has to offer with Chalk it Up!  I know you will enjoy it as much as I have!

All papers and stamps are from Close To My Heart (CTMH).

G'day Mate!

Shortly after Convention 2013, Close to My Heart embraced former consultants of a different company which had closed its doors in Australia and New Zealand.  These wonderful ladies have been a blessing to my life, through our Facebook acquaintances and at Convention 2014.  I am so thankful to be part of a company ready to embrace these consultants who had suddenly lost their business.

When you look through the idea books you will see very little which is totally applicable to this area.  CTMH provides us with wonderful stamps for those of us in Canada and the United States with which to show our patriotism.  WRONG!  CTMH also provides for our Australasian friends.  Those consultants and customers have their own idea books (soon to be Annual Inspirations).

What's current in the Spring/Summer Idea Book 2014?  Check out the stamp sets below.  You may add them to an order through MY SITE.    Yes, these stamp sets are available to order in the US and Canada, too.  I just love the kangaroos!  Don't forget the new Annual Inspirations is available August 1.

Printing Photos with Studio J

I'm one of those scrapbookers who likes to dive in and have paper, embellishments, ribbon, and glue everywhere.  I then stand back and admire my layouts for hours.

I am also one of those scrapbookers who love the how-to-patterns available through Close to My Heart and which can be purchased on MY SITE.

Currently, I am working with Reflections, one of my favorite pattern guides.  However, cutting out the perfect odd size photo from readily available print sizes is not always easy.

I have the solution.  Use Studio J for printing photos.  I currently have three layouts planned from one 2-page layout of pictures.

These layouts are going to use 8x8, 1.75x1.75, 5.5x5.5, and 3x3 images.  (All images are measured in inches.)  I don't have to worry about whether or not a particular photo will work.  I've placed the photos in the correct sizes and these will print very nicely.  While I am waiting on the photos to arrive I will make the layouts.  I'll trim the photos, add to layouts, embellish and journal and add to album.  How easy is that?  Now I can make full use of the wonderful how-to-patterns created by Close to My Heart.

Stock up on your favorite paper packs and how-to-patterns, all available on MY SITE.

Happy layouts!

Deb
